Introducing Debbi Moore Designs

Tell us more about you and Debbi Moore Designs?

Debbi Moore Designs started 13 and a half years ago, on my kitchen table with an idea to create “how to” craft kits with the focus on Inspiration. We now design an array of craft products from card kits, to USB keys, Metal dies and even magazines. We love creating new ideas and have over 950,000 designs in every theme from cute, to Art Deco, to vintage and even fantasy.

How did you get into crafting?

I got into crafting when I was 18 years old when I became a born again Christine and did missionary work in Romania for 4 years. It was an amazing experience doing crafts in hospitals and orphanages and I ended up becoming a play therapist. However, I got into professional crafts when I was approached in 2005 to design and present on QVC.

When was your first show on HobbyMaker and what did you launch?

I first presented on HobbyMaker on 31st of October 2022 with my new Gnome collection and Robin collection.

What's your favourite craft project?

My favourite project at the moment is creating your own memory books and diaries using my Create and Cherish range which was inspired by mother. A few years ago my mother got cancer, and came up with an idea to do a keepsake book of memories for me, unfortunately she passed not long afterwards and I developed the idea in her honour. We launched the Create and Cherish range on Hobbymaker last year enabling anyone to create mini memory books, journals, notes books and even diaries. I have attached a piece that was in one of the magazines – that can be cut if you want smaller pictures or used as is.

What's your go-to Karaoke Anthem?

I absolutely love “Rule the World” by Take That, which was in the film Stardust (which is also my favourite film).

If you could be any animal, what would it be? And why?

With regards to an animal – that was quite a challenging question – so I have decided to choose a “fictional animal” – Tigger from winnie the pooh story, who is always jumping about – As I get really excited when launching and creating something new and I am always on the go jumping from one idea at another!
