Tell us more about Sanntangle?

Sanntangle are a small business in Scunthorpe who design and make products for craft and art. We help people to draw art that you would have thought impossible and of course use it in your crafty projects. Anything from frames to dragons, flowers to wishing wells and everything in between. We also run classes on site and around the country as well as attend craft fairs where we demonstrate and sell our products.

How did you get into crafting?

I have always had a pen or pencil in my hand from a very young age. My dad used to draw a little but honestly told me not to pursue art as a career as I wouldn’t be able to make a living from it. I remember when I was 12 years old making a dress for my mum's friend following the pictures on the pattern.

When was your first show on HobbyMaker and what did you launch?

My first show on HobbyMaker was on the launch day last year (March 2022) alongside Crafter's Companion and Hunkydory, a fabulous day.

What's your favourite craft project?

Gosh there are so many. I think it has to be the Sanntangle feather as its such a beautiful ‘concept’ where you create a piece of artwork from basic shapes on a stencil. Every piece is totally different but all are equally as beautiful.

What's your go-to Karaoke Anthem?

Sadly I don’t have one, I’m always the one playing the instrument rather than doing the singing, love my saxophone and did teach keyboard and piano for a time.

If you could be any animal, what would it be? And why?

I’d be a macaw – lots of bright colours and of course living in a warm climate.
