Lovebug Valentine's Card

Follow this step-by-step guide and create a DIY Valentine's Day Card.

Craft Products Used

• Card Blanks
• Coloured Card
• Patterned Paper
• Heart Design Stencil
• Tim Holts Lumberjack Plaid Ink Pad
• Black Fineline Pen
• Ladybird Embellishments
• Paper Trimmer
• Label Maker or Sentiment Dies / Stamps / Stickers

Step One

Using a card blank of your choice, cut a layer of coloured card and then a layer of patterned paper ¼” between each.

(We used a 6x6” card, 5 ¾ x 5 ¾“ coloured card and 5 ½ x 5 ½“ patterned paper).

Step Two

Take your heart stencil and draw round a small and medium heart on some red and white card. Cut these out and set aside.

For extra detail take a black fineline pen and draw some faux stitching around each heart.

Step Three

Take your heart stencil and pop it over the left side of your patterned paper. Using your ink pad, pick up some ink onto a blending tool and gently rub over the stencil in a circular motion.

Step Four

Stick your matt and layers together with some double sided tape or adhesive of your choice.

Step Five

To add dimension to your card take some foam pads and pop them onto both of your hearts then layer together. Add your two ladybugs to decorate.

Step Six

Using your label maker, dies or stamp create your own personalised sentiment and stick down onto your card.
